Creative economy and creative industries in the Baltic Sea Region The research theme analyzes the development of the creative economy, and the challenges faced by creative industry entrepreneurs from different viewpoints. The current state of creative industries in Russia was examined as a part of the preparatory work for the Northern Dimension Partnership for Culture. A collaborative study with the Small Business Center of Aalto University School of Business analyzed the internationalization of Finnish creative industry enterprises, and their need for support. Currently we are finalizing a report on film industry networks in the Baltic Sea Region as part of the BaltMet Promo project, financed from the EU’s Baltic Sea Region programme 2007-2013 and led by the City of Helsinki.
